What is a Qualified Lead?
A qualified lead, or marketing qualified lead (MQL
), is a lead or contact considered more likely than others to become a customer. The lead becomes a “qualified lead” when marketing determines the lead indicates they are prepared to engage in the sales team and/pr process. At that point, the qualified lead has engaged (such as opting to receive marketing information and communications), they agree to let the business or company educate them about a particular product or service, and they show a genuine interest in learning more.
