What is Personalization?

Personalized marketing (one-to-one marketing) includes adding distinctive content pertinent to the recipient in the email, based on information known about them. It may include addressing the recipient by name, mentioning prior purchases or preferences, interests, needs, wants, or other unique personal content. For example, Netflix, Amazon, and other marketers believe personalized marketing campaigns are the “next wave of inbound marketing genius.”
EPiServer’s data shows, “Fourteen percent of marketers indicated that personalized campaigns generate a better response rate than mass-market campaigns.” More visits generate more leads resulting in happier/more customers.
