What is List Segmentation?
List segmentation involves selecting a target audience or group to receive a specific type of email message. The goal is to obtain more responses and less “Unsubscribes” and spam reports. The focus is narrowed and messages are sent to targeted list segmentation groups based on buyer personas. Effective segmented campaigns result in more relevant and targeted email campaigns. Segmenting email marketing generates more clicks. Large / general persona segments may be sub-segmented into smaller target groups according to more specific persona characterizations.
