What is Lead Generation?

Lead generation involves inbound and outbound marketing activities which include generating focus and awareness about the product, company, or service and industry. Lead / demand generation is intended to create and establish brand awareness and positioning; essentially raising consumer interest and changing the customers’ perceptions about the product, brand, or service. The stepped lead (demand) generation process includes: developing awareness, positioning, support, and reducing customer assessment. Examples of lead (demand) generation include: whitepapers and blogs, PPC (pay-per-click) campaigns, YouTube videos and podcasts, or event vendor booth/display.
