What is Landing Page Optimization?
Landing page optimization involves gaining the maximum conversions from a landing page by continually monitoring, testing, and updating various landing page elements. Landing page optimization begins with a single relevant page targeted to the market segment. For the landing page to be optimized, the page, information, and appearance, should be consistent and congruent, uncluttered, concise, on point, segment traffic / users, minimize navigation and reading, provide the message and call-to-action above the bottom of the page, and enable sharing on viral landing pages (Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
Most marketers spend a significant amount of effort optimizing their landing pages. This process (known as Conversion Rate Optimization) helps the marketer get more out of the Pay Per Click (PPC) spend and email marketing efforts.
