First-Time Visitor

What is a First-Time Visitor?

A first-time visitor is a lead that has begun a customer relationship by making a first-time purchase of the particular product or service. First-time visitor interactions are different from returning visitor interactions. Tracking incoming sources (directly visiting the company’s website for the first time, visiting based on a search query, directed from another site / blog referral) helps convert a visitor into a returning customer. Usability reduces the bounce rate for first timers. Isolating first-time visitors from loyalty / returning customers helps convert first-timers into returning customers. Determine what is viewed during the website visit, and how the experience may be improved.
