What is Email Marketing?
Email marketing is an electronic version of direct marketing. It is the process of advertising and selling products and services online to a targeted segment list using an email message. Email marketing creates an advertisement that can be in the form of a letter or graphic picture with text and then sends this message to a number of recipients. Opened messages are tracked to detect when a recipient spams an email, when they delete an email, or when they open the email and follow the link contained in it. This information aids in refining the email content to make email marketing efforts more effective. Similar ads may be sent to addressees that opened the email and clicked on links. Those that opened and spammed or deleted the email may be automatically deleted from the address list.
