CPM (Cost Per Thousand)
What is CPM (Cost Per Thousand)?
Website publishers get paid for displaying ads. CPM (Cost Per Thousand) is the most common method used to price web ads. It refers to the cost per 1,000 impressions on a web page. For example, the cost per thousand is based on the publisher’s established price per 1,000 clicks an ad / email generates. If the CPM is $3, the advertiser pays $3 for every 1,000 impressions of its ad. CPM is most effective for a marketing campaign focused on conveying a specific message or information, or increasing brand awareness.
