Call-to-Action

What is a Call-to-Action?

A Call-to-Action (CTA) is the line of copy or image posted on the website at the end of a blog, in an email, or in an ebook, which is intended to prompt the visitor, Lead, or customer to respond to the marketing content. The CTA is a request (“Subscribe,” “Download,” “Visit,” etc.) to perform a certain action (i.e.: sign up, download, attend, etc.). Inbound marketers use Calls-to-Action to elicit interaction in an effort to commit the visitor to become a new customers/Lead. CTAs promote visitor-to-lead conversion.
