Brand Advocates

What are Brand Advocates?

A brand advocate speaks favorably about a product and passes on the endorsement typically through social media or other type of “word of mouth (WOM),” with the intent others will also purchase the specific brand. Advocates are typically VIPs or well-known / well-respected individuals, informative store persons, or someone having a wide social network connection that supports the brand or mission. Companies carefully choose powerful and visual brand advocates that positively influence the public. The most important feature of a brand advocate is customer loyalty to the particular brand. In exchange, companies reward their brand advocates with discounts or free merchandise.
