Bounce Rate

What is bounce rate?

A bounce rate refers to the number of emails within an email campaign that could not be delivered. Typically the bounce rate is expressed as a percentage of total emails sent. There are two types of bounces. These are soft bounces and hard bounces. High bounce rates are typically a result of poor list management or SPAM type of activity. A bounce rate should be as low as possible. A well maintained contact list will see a bounce rate less than 4%.
